One Mission
Many Communities

Hisportic Christian Mission is a church-planting ministry focused on multiplying Christ-followers among Portuguese-speaking peoples worldwide. Our mission centers on discipleship, leadership training, and building strong community churches that reflect the heart of Christ in their culture.

Education is a key part of that vision. HCM operates three elementary schools built on biblical principles and a Christian worldview, with a long-term goal of creating a network of campuses that prepare students for both spiritual and professional service.

We also support entrepreneurial projects that create sustainable income and opportunity, helping believers provide for their families while strengthening their churches and communities.

Today, HCM serves across the Americas, Africa, and Asia—in the United States, Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, Goa (India), and Timor-Leste.

The Americas

HCM’s story began in the United States, where large Portuguese-speaking communities — from Brazil, Portugal, and Cape Verde — have taken root. From those early days in New England, the ministry has grown into a network of Portuguese-speaking churches across the country, training pastors and lay leaders to disciple others in their own language and culture.

In Brazil, HCM continues to partner with local congregations to equip leaders and strengthen churches that are reaching their communities for Christ.

Africa

In Guinea-Bissau, West Africa, HCM partners with national leaders who are passionate about reaching their own people. The ministry has helped plant dozens of churches and operates three thriving Christian schools.

Alongside these, local believers are being trained through ongoing discipleship and leadership development, with plans underway for a Bible institute (IDE — Institute of Development and Evangelism) to prepare future pastors and teachers. Entrepreneurial projects are also helping families become more self-sustaining as they share the Gospel through both word and action.

Asia

HCM’s reach extends to Asia through two former Portuguese territories — Goa, India, and Timor-Leste. In Goa, HCM partners with an experienced missionary family to strengthen a growing Christian community through discipleship and outreach.

In Timor-Leste, HCM is helping raise up new leaders and establish churches among people who are hearing the Gospel for the first time. Each of these fields represents HCM’s global commitment to connect Portuguese-speaking cultures with the transforming hope of Jesus.
